I doubt more than 20 percent would agree with Trump on this. People truly believe the UN “promotes world peace” even though it doesn’t. It’s part of the psychological manipulation of the uninformed.

I’m not so sure about that. Oh, for sure if you were to put people on the spot I expect most would surely agree that “the UN promotes world peace” - that is certainly what it was INTENDED to do after all, and as a ideal objective who’s going to reject that kind of mission statement? However, if you actually sat down and talked to people in an informal setting you would find that hardly anyone is satisfied with the actions of the UN. It is almost universally derided as “talking the talk but not walking the walk”.
