Gadzooks, Biff-- Not only do I remember that episode... we were living in Natchez, Mississippi, at the time--

I even found a screen grab from it:

And that wonderful old character actor... Wallace Ford, played 'Nick' in it.

And I wanted a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun... for Christmas that year--

"No, you'd... shoot your eye out."

Nope, that is Hollywood fiction... my Mom and Dad got me one--

And I turned out... all right!

That episode of Father Knows Best is on a dvd called Merry Sitcom, and also has Christmas shows of McHales’s Navy, The Donna Reed Show, Bewitched, The Flying Nun and That Girl.

I found it on Amazon a few years back. We watch it every year at Christmastime.

I watched the episode. Not bad, pretty well done.

Even back then, the Father made some bumbling moves.
