The United Nations is making a lot of enemies.

Yesterday, when the Obama administration refused to veto a UN vote over Isreal settlements, one which provoked Israel to lash out at the Obama administration saying "friends don't act that way", but more importantly defied Trump who in a previous tweet urged Obama to veto the resolution, the President-elect had one message, or rather tweet, to the UN:

However, Trump is not the only one to hold a prominent grudge against the international organization, which many have accused of being nothing but an ineffective, if material, waste of taxpayer funds: taking Obama's threat several steps further, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to “burn down” the United Nations headquarters in New York, in response to mounting international criticism over his bloody crackdown on suspected drug dealers.

“You go and file a complaint in the United Nations, I will burn down the United Nations if you want,” Duterte said, quoted by the New York Times. “I will burn it down if I go to America,” he added during a speech at an army base in the country's southern city of Zamboanga.

Earlier in the week, Duterte called Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, a top UN official, an “idiot” and “son of a bitch” after the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights suggested launching an investigation into Duterte's own accounts of killings when he was mayor of Davao City, and the “shocking” number of deaths during the ongoing anti-drug war.

“This guy [Zeid] is ever the joker or crazy,” Duterte said during a televised speech, repeatedly calling him stupid. “You UN officials, sitting there on your asses, we pay you your salaries. You idiot, do not tell me what to do... Who gave you the right?”

A greatly missed piece of control that should have been part of the original UN Charter would have made the organization subject to an annual audit. As witness to the lack, look at the “Oil_for_Food” UN Program run in the 1990s as part of the international action against Saddam Hussein and his Iraq Government. What a FARCE!

Look at the pros and cons. A communist country would benefit from the spending by visitors coming and going to a UN there. With our money.

By being here in the USA, our government keeps an eye on the goings-on, and the spending is being done here. Not that I agree with that, I want them gone also.

Best thing would be to withdraw our funding, except for one dollar a year. Let others pay the freight for all the trouble the UN causes. Within a year or two the UN will shut down due to lack of funding, and we can convert it a VA center.

Gee a Muslim suggests an investigation over human rights violations in a predominantly Catholic country. Better start amongst your own Hussein. You could spend the next 100 years exposing your beloved Islamic countries for the hell holes and human rights violators they are well known for.

Most folks do not know it, but the UN actually has FOUR headquarters around the globe: 1) New York, USA; 2) Geneva, Switzerland; 3) Nairobi, Kenya; and 4) Brussels, Belgium. I say we give the UN an ultimatum to get out of the USA in 6 months and decamp to one of their three other headquarter. America dumps its membership in the UN and cuts them off from all US dues. The UN headquarters is then bulldozed and given to the City of New York.
