CARRIE Fisher suffered a ‘massive heart attack’ during a flight on Friday night.
TMZ report the 60-year-old actress was on a flight from London to LAX when she suffered a cardiac arrest.
The US website claims the plane landed in America at noon and paramedics rushed on board.
It’s reported Carrie received CPR on board.
Once she was taken from the plane, the Star Wars actress was rushed to a nearby hospital.
She’s currently on tour promoting her book The Princess Diarist, an intimate recollection of what really happened behind the scenes when she was filming the first Star Wars movie.
Fans of Carrie were devastated by the news of her ill health and took to Twitter to wish her well.

There ain’t nothing good about heart attacks. Especially massive ones suffered in the sky near Christmas time.
Lord, please look over Carrie Fisher.
She was hot when she was young.
As someone who survived a heart attack and a blood clot in the lung....prayers from a survivor..god bless her

Why on earth would anyone do this? Seems silly.

Heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.
There’s been a disturbance in the force.
That’s 60 hard years.
I will pray for her recovery, but if this is true, no one should be “shocked.”

Because people read what others say about them in Twitter and if it lifts her spirits...then why is it silly? I’ve had hundreds of people (most I knew...some I didn’t on Facebook and twitter) send condolences to me when my mom passed...and well wishes and prayers when my son was very ill. Wasn’t silly to me or my family...it was therapeutic.
She’s had a lot of problems with drugs so I’m not surprised. That whole inner Hollywood circle from the 1970s was all all all all drugs and it really effed up a hell of a lot of them. If they didn’t die, they paid for it later on in life and sadly it seems Carrie is one of them. God help her, a heart attack is no joke. In the mid 1980s I use to work at JFK airport in New York city as a cargo handler and saw a coworker die right in front of my eyes from a heart attack while we we lifting heavy boxes, he was only 35 and like a puppet getting it’s strings cut, *pop* he was with Jesus. My grandmother died the same way after climbing a flight of stairs, from clogged arteries. Whatever it takes, get that stuff checked out. I just had a echocardiogram a few months ago, paid for it in cash $1,100 as I’m self employed and I refuse to participate in Obamacare in any way shape or form.
Probably from all of the earlier drug use.
Me too.. My heart is perfect, it’s my arteries that got clogged. Heart stopped 3 times but I’m still here.

From looking at the pic in the article, I thought she was at least 80.
A long period or lull in her career, leading to sedentary lifestyle will do it. Arteries get clogged thus cutting off blood supply. Myocardial infarction maybe?
