We/President Trump, may have only one chance to do this; and this being maybe only two years (that is when the next congressional election will happen). And this being to drain the swamp; and to reset this government. This being to reset the government without CW.

We just dodged a bullet, actually a nuclear warhead with Clinton.

Trump gets two years, maybe more. The conservatives in Congress and elsewhere, need to move this quickly!!

The first 100 days. Have some immediate large wins. Set the agenda and expectations.

Trumps appointees have thus far been as good as we could hope for. They need to be given large vision, large direction, large expectations, then let them take it on! Expect and have each one of them get a large win in the first 100 days. Expect and have each one of them have another large win the next 100 days. Within one year, we could many, many large wins. This would be the expectation for this administration.

I can never, ever, get tired of winning - I disagree with Trump on this one!

Amen! I’ve gotten better sleep in the past few weeks than I have had in several years because I know we will have a powerhouse and true leader in the White House again.

“It’s a real shame because HUD is on a mission to redefine the suburbs in a terrible way ——”

Correct, and that is a big fear for lots of people.

There’s a reason Trump didn’t tap Newt for anything. I’m really impressed with the way Trump can make the tough decisions with personnel. Most people feel obligated to choose their friends even when better candidates are available.

Why do so many folks on Free Republic think that every reaction from a politician in Washington is due to something someone posted on Free Republic? We don’t have that kind of power guys. We couldn’t even stop Romney in 2012. No one in Washington is reading Free Republic to figure out their next political move needs to be.

"That wife"???

THAT wife, Calista, is a devout Christian and very talented lady,

And YOU? (Still mired in the twisted bilge put out when he was running?)

Gingrich did not even say that Trump would not drain the swamp- the reporter did while asking a hypothetical question about *if* Trump stopped saying it, would Gingrich support that, to which he agreed. Then the media all went and screamed “GINGRICH SAYS TRUMP WON’T DRAIN THE SWAMP”

Thank you for that post.

Nice to see not all Freepers take everything at face value and run with it - vilifying someone for something the media twisted - that they didn't actually say -

All you Newt-bashers in this thread...Especially the ones telling Newt not to trust the media - YOU Did. Take your own advice...

Supreme Court nominees in their 60s are rare. There has never been a SC justice who was over 70 when sworn in. Rudy is 72.

Reprinted comment by me from an earlier Gingrich thread:

Someone needs to superglue a sock in Gingrich’s mouth.

It’s crap like this that makes me glad he’s just in an advisory role.

If he didn't make those mistakes they would just make up something anyway.

A good way to test the power/popularity of a phrase would be to hint that it will no longer be used and then see what the reaction is. Trump seems to have a knack for catchy slogans, phrases and names that stick.
