Truth is Rush WAS the opposition for most of the 6 months of Obama’s Presidency. Everyone else but Rush was scared to death to say anything against 0.
Rush broke the Media protective barrier around 0 by coming out and saying “I hope he fails”. I think 0 recognizes that Rush was the pathfinder that took the PR hits necessary to energize the political opposition to 0,
I think you’re right.
I remember it well. I was completely disheartened by the Nov 2008 election even though I knew McCain was a candiate designed to fail. The GOP leadership, including supposed “conservative” media, was falling all over itself to kiss O butt.
Rush was the first one out there saying “I hope he fails” and he caught holy hell for saying it.
I remember that, too. I just don’t remember if any other Conservatives also took that position, or were cowed and silent.
Why was it priceless?
