the State of Washington didn’t appoint them, the Clinton campaign (Probably with input from the Wash. Dem Party) selected them to their slate of electors.

They obviously didn’t put serious effort into it. In 2020, I suspect that both main party candidates are going to be considerably choosier about who they select as their electors.

In my view, the state of Washington took a light view of national affairs in appointing these eight SJW nobodies as electors. They didn’t even pick serious SJW people. - jimtorr

Article II Section 1:
Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress . . .
