WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Kellyanne Conway, the Republican pollster and strategist who helped guide President-elect Donald J. Trump to victory in November, will be appointed counselor to the president, becoming the highest-ranking woman in his White House, the transition team announced early Thursday.
Ms. Conway, who took over as campaign manager shortly after Mr. Trump clinched the Republican nomination over the summer, guided her candidate through a brutal and divisive campaign, often appearing on television to vouch for him during periods of scandal or controversy.

Cue the “Cronyism” hyperventilating from the UniParty.
She brought to my mind the woman who’s name I can’t remember that held a similar role in W’s first term. As I recalled she resigned after 4 years and returned to Houston.
She was a considerable asset. Karen?
Wait for the REAL misogynists on the Left to start calling her the C word and worse.
Trump has surrounded himself with many women of exceptional talent and intelligence and Ms. Conway is the crown jewel.
Talk about breaking the glass ceiling!
And she’s a she, so that means that Trump only wants her around for whenever Melania’s having her monthly visit from Aunt Flo. So he’s a racist sexist homophobic Islamophobe and should be impeached for having bad thoughts./s
In that capacity, he may be the head of the “kitchen cabinet”.
HOORAY Kellyanne Conway!!! WOOOHOOOO Mr. Donald J. Trump. Thank you, sir. Finest Americans BUMP!
Karen Hughes
Yes, thanks for the help to my steadily declining memory
Karen Hughes?
Yes, I thought of Karen Hughes when Kellyanne had talked about juggling her kids. (The press secretary position is both an infamously 24/7 job and below Kellyanne’s highest use.)
She had run his campaign for governor back in Texas and then spent just a year in DC as a counselor for Bush before heading back to or with her family in Texas, IIRC.
Here’s the Wikipedia description of her role with W:
“Since 1994, Hughes has worked with George W. Bush, first as director of his campaign for the office of governor of Texas, and then as a counselor from 2001 to 2002, while he was President of the United States.
Hughes left the Bush administration in July 2002 to return to Texas, but remained in daily contact with the Bush reelection campaign by telephone and e-mail, and spoke personally with Bush several times a week. In August 2004, Hughes returned to full-time service with the Bush campaign, setting up office on Air Force One, from where she planned the 2004 Republican National Convention and the late stages of the 2004 election. She has been praised by The Dallas Morning News as “the most powerful woman ever to serve in the White House”, and by ABC News as Bush’s “most essential advisor.”
Gotta laugh!
“during periods of scandal or controversy”
Media generated for the most part.
I understand, but maybe Rudy didnt want to be tied down to Washington and a full time job at this point in his life. He can be a big influence on this administration from anywhere, including NYC.
Agree. He will be an influence in some way whether its an official position or similar counsel to The President.
EXACTLY where she should be!
NUT works as well.
Kellyanne is the better choice for this position. Rudy said on FoxNews that for him it was SecState or nothing as nothing else would challenge him. He has no hard feelings and will continue being a big supporter from the outside.
That's why femnazi heads are exploding. Most of their ilk have an affirmative action mentality, that they should not be held to the same standard as men. Same with minorities. DJT seems to hold everyone to the same standard of excellence and loyalty.
The way this is playing out, DJT will hopefully be the first post-affirmative action President.
Is it possible that DJT wants Rudy at his side with no official capacity? Pure hypothesis.
GREAT NEWS!!!
Just like Rove with Bush.
But Kellyanne is an order of magnitude smarter than Rove and a real conservative.
Boo Yaa!
This is wonderful news! Go, Kellyanne, go!
