I have had this exact experience . From 2 LtGen’s - USMC and one US Army Maj Gen . It’s awesome ! I have quite a collection . Coins have come to me in many different ways . The ‘secret’ hand press is the best . Thanks gentlemen !

It is a common military custom.
Commanders have unique coins made for their units, which they give out as souvenirs or rewards for a job well done. Many folks like to collect them.

That was new to me. I showed the vid to my son (at his house for Christmas) and he said “would you like to see one?” And handed me a coin given to him by a friend that died of cancer. Pretty amazing.
