Take a look at his wiki page. It’s a tour de force of every liberal position ive ever heard of. Luckily as a Baptist, I can laugh at him and walk away. There is no hierarchy beyond the congregation.
The Baptist headquarters concept is little more than buying sunday school books in bulk and cooperating on missionary work.
But the left, in and out of the church, loves to pretend it speaks with authority. It doesn’t.
I went to his Wiki page and it looks like he’s pretty solid theologically and that politically the only real place I disagree (strongly) is his immigration and resettlement positions. Does he show a liberal or anti-biblical bias in any other areas? I ask because our church is considering partnering and becoming part of the SBC.
