Thailand and China are in talks about building military production facilities in Thailand, a Thai defense ministry spokesman said on Wednesday, the latest sign of warming relations between China and America's oldest ally in Asia.

Relations between Thailand and the United States cooled following a May 2014 military coup that the Thai military said was necessary to end months of unrest, including street protests that led to the ouster of an elected government.

The United States has said relations cannot return to normal until democracy is restored. The generals running Thailand have promised an election for 2017.

The GOP has sold out America just as badly as dems, by the relentless “build everything in China” push by BOTH PARTIES, everyone in office basically, which has been going on now for more than one entire generation.

This has made China now industrially powerful, and increasingly militarily also.

Yet our entire business leadership, has been selling out America.

FINALLY we have a president who is at very least saying the right things, and who does not appear to be for sale.

This is exactly what was needed.

President Trump needs to bring back US manufacturing, big.

Big.

Thailand has managed to keep it’s independence by bending with the wind and not standing up to it’s enemies. Occupied in WW2 and recognized as a conquered territory. Kicked the U.S. out after Viet Nam fell-can’t blame them. They don’t fight. Wishy washy.

They don't fight

Tell that to veterans from the Queen's Cobra Regiment, or the Black Panthers Division, who were in combat alongside of us in Vietnam from Oct 67 to early 71.

Going back further explain to a Vet from the 21 Thai Infantry Bn, "Little Tigers," who as an assigned unit of the US 1st Calvary Division, repulsed the Chinese effort to take 'Pork Chop Hill.' Soldiers of the "Little Tigers" were awarded a Legion of Merit, 12 Silver Stars, and 26 Bronze Stars by the US Military. Additionally they received 3 ROK Presidential Unit Citation's.

Bottom line, Thai can be a violent brutal people. "Land of Smiles" is a very thin veneer.

I kept trying to suggest that Mr. Trump acknowledge and offer condolences at the passing of the late Thai King and also offer best wishes and congratulations to the new incoming one . To my knowledge , he did not . This was a mistake .

Thailand bailed from the US sphere of influence when Hillary’s State Department tried to launch a color revolution on them. I doubt they’re coming back into our fold.

Occupied in WW2 and recognized as a conquered territory.

They were allied with the Japs, but later changed their story and claimed they were never allied with the japs.
