Won’t be long before Chicago looks like...Detroit.

Did this affect the number of voters? Probably not, because if the dead can vote there, surely those who have escaped to better states will be counted in IL long after they are gone.

Sorry, while I admit it’s sick, I immediately pictured dead bodies littering the streets.

I suggest that they raise taxes. See if that helps.

They should raise corporate and individual tax rates to fund a study to figure out this problem!

So what does this say for the Census of 2020, if the trend continues? Loss of one representative....possibly two?
To: KeyLargo
Does that include the ones shot in Chicago?
Or do they still count, since they’re voting Democrat from the graveyard?

Illinois losing 1 resident every 4.6 minutes, I wonder how that number would change if everyone that wanted to leave, could. I think it would at the very least be cut in half (every 2.3 minutes) and most likely even more.

Any info on what effect this has to their coffers and the current state of Chicago and State based Pension plans? Tangent to this did anyone see the other day a California City cut pensions dramatically as CALPER's starts it's slide into oblivion (CALPER's is 65% funded, and is dipping into seed corn )?
IMHO that 65% territory is where Detroit was when they went belly up, and they kicked the can down the road for a massive take over ( illary and her econ team ) of our 401k's etc to bail them out, but now they have DJT and he will have none of it...

If the inner cities and first-ring suburbs of Minneapolis-St Paul are any indication, it’s safe to say that a lot of those Illinois residents are now up here.

A lifetime ago, I lived in a small town in Illinois. Two of my friends moved West in 2015. And two of my friends moved South in September. I am one person and know 4 people in the last year and a half who have left Illinois. The dirty Chicago politics have infiltrated downstate. They are both shocked at the property taxes in their new states. SO MUCH LOWER! Illinois is taxing it citizens out of the state. And, of course, the Lefties I do know in Illinois, blame the Republican Governor, instead of taking a look at the career politicians like the Madigans.
