The Arab States and the Refugees

Refugees arrive in some of Europe's poorest states, mainly Greece, Italy and Hungary, but insist that they have a right to head for more prosperous nations where welfare benefits are higher and healthcare freely available.

"Kuwait and the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries are too valuable to accept any refugees. ... It's too costly to relocate them here. Kuwait is too expensive for them anyway, as opposed to Lebanon and Turkey, which are cheap. They are better suited for the Syrian refugees. ... it is not right for us to accept a people that are different from us. We don't want people that suffer from internal stress and trauma in our country." -- Kuwaiti, Fahad al-Shalami.

It may also be that the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and elsewhere see the movement of Muslim refugees to Europe as a golden opportunity to increase their work in da'wa (Islamic proselytization).

This crisis has exposed the abject failure of the EU, the UN, the OIC or anybody else to criticize the bloated nations of the Gulf with even a tiny fraction of the abuse they pour daily on the only democratic state in the Middle East, Israel. It is a repetition of the ongoing Palestinian refugee crisis, with the Arab states refusing to give jobs and citizenship to Palestinian Arabs over decades, keeping them in refugee camps and laying the blame on Israel. Is it surprising that the Arab world is still on the steady downward course it embarked on in 1948?

Europe, motivated by a politically correct obsession with multiculturalism, has used mass immigration to beef up its workforce and create a semblance of diversity, only to find that many of its immigrants -- above all Muslims from Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Somalia -- have remained averse to integration and assimilation...

With all those refugees coming from the Middle East with the majority being (m)uslims, every so often some one in government states not to worry as there is a proper vetting process in place to sort out the bad apples or trouble makers. That may all sound fine and dandy and quite possible some of the trouble makers may be rejected. However this doesn’t change anything about the fact that the majority are still (m)uslims and this is where the problem comes in.

I am very well aware that when it comes to religion people get touchy, however I do believe that not all religions are created equal and some may be better suited then others, especially when it comes to their indoctrination of how to get along with others of a different faith, customs as well as behavior and tolerance of same. Along those lines I feel that (i)slam is pretty close to the bottom of most religious believes.

There is no way even with the best system of vetting that we can be sure that one or the other isn’t going to do some crazy stuff and or encourage others to participate. In other words become what we may refer to as becoming radicalized. By now we have enough examples of this happening. The common denominator in each and every instance was their inspiration by their religious believes.

Since we can not look in to their heads we never can be sure which of them either is or will develop in to a potential time bomb. Take for example the Fort Hood massacre where major Nidal Hasan went crazy or more recently the Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov was dispatched by a policeman.

I have no idea what hiring procedures the Secret Service has, but for a moment place yourself in the position of a Donald Trump, would you feel safe and protected knowing that one or the other of your protectors happens to be a (m)uslim? I for one would have my druthers, should my protector decide to go down in history as a martyr and make a name for himself.

Are we as a society going to wait around until everything what could turn a (m)uslim in to a ticking time bomb is bred out of them what may take several generations, or are we going to put up with whatever bad may come along and just put up with it? As much as I would like to, in the long run I just don’t see a happy ending.
