Most will simply do featureless builds and not register jack. Few are going to turn in magazines that is certain.

California isn’t completely useless. We can look there for a lesson in how NOT to do things.

IIRC SCOUTUS ,when they knocked down DC’s and Chicago's laws (it was Chicago IIRC),ruled that states could enact "reasonable” restrictions on gun ownership.IMO it's time for people in states like New York,Massachusetts and California to start challenging the gun laws they're subject to...in FEDERAL court.

can anyone confirm this?
we heard that there are very excellent lawyers lined up to get this BS law overturned in court.... hopefully anyway....
just as soon as a few of their clients are denied their rights to purchase said firearms (that being, apparently, tomorrow per the article....I thought it wasn’t until 1 January but not much difference that)

they want their clients to have constitutional “standing” as “actually injured plaintiffs”....so that the courts can’t toss the cases out as being “speculative” or “no actual harm”

does anyone KNOW that this is defininely going to proceed?
all I can see is that Californication is patently, blantantly and unconstitutionally depriving its citizens of their rights.... but it will take some good lawyers to remedy this tyranny (any posting i might do online is not going to restore anyone’s rights, alas)

This will definitely put an end to gun violence in CA. All our problems are solved. We can close jails!

Los Angeles is setting up a fund with tax payer money to provide attorneys for those who are set for deportation because they are criminals(illegal aliens).

Now shouldn't tax paying gun owners demand public funds to provide attorneys for them accused of breaking some stupid liberal gun laws?

“If the buyer fails to take possession of a soon-to-be-banned firearm by Dec. 31, they won’t be allowed to take it home”

Was just in a couple of guns stores in Norcal this past week. They have already reacted with ample supplies of AR-15’s that are devoid of the “evil features” which set them apart from other semi-automatic rifles. The pistol grips and collapsable stocks have been replaced along with the “flash hiders” being changed out for “muzzle brakes.”
So now they are “featureless.” And, since they are now “featureless,” they don’t have to have the “bullet button” magazine releases any longer.
The CA Legislature will never stop the sale of these guns, and I just imagine that President Trump and our new SCOTUS will defang them in the coming months. Having to “honor” other state’s CCW permits will break California’s back on their own CCW permits, because there are states now that will issue their CCW permits to non-residents and CA will be forced to honor them ultimately.

CA better be prepared for a civil rights lawsuit protecting the 2nd Amendment. The days of far-left thugs pretending the 2nd Amendment either doesn’t exist or doesn’t mean exactly what it says are over.

There needs to be a federal law that allows citizens to sue state and local governments that violate their 2nd Amendment rights.

The federal Congress has the 14th Amendment power to intervene with state laws like California's anti-2nd Amendment law.

But as evidenced by Congress letting lawless presidents and non-elected federal bureaucrats get away with harrassing the sovereign states with state powers that they have stolen from the states, I don’t see corrupt Congress lifting a finger to do anything about California’s gun law.

Pro-2nd Amendment Trump certainly has his work cut out for him.

Prop 63 will be overturned in SCOTUS or, if we are lucky, in the weird 9th.

Very, very few “registered” their rifles the first time the liberals pulled this way back in the 90’s or so. Same thing likely to happen, and few magazines will be turned in.

so they are TAKING private property without hearing or compensation.

It is a good thing the electoral college quarantines califonia.

Northern California should separate.

What are the gun laws like in NV, OR a and AZ? I would expect they are going to be more than a few private sales in the gray markets.

Glad my guns and I moved from that sewer over a year ago to Colorado where we have open carry or “Constitutional” carry as some call it. One day recently, I walked into a Walmart behind a guy armed with a 9mm on his right side...I felt right at home!

It sucks. No way around it.

But, I am glad I’ve my gear. Nothing registered. No serial numbers And fully legal. Unfortunately, the CA lawmakers have finally caught wind of the 80% lowers and I think these are now affected.

...Being necessary for the security of a FREE STATE, the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!

You can’t secure a free state if the government has control over guns and their owners.

I predict a black market in California. And I predict another Supreme Court slapdown in the future for these commie fascists.

I can attest to this.

I have bought 4 new guns and probably 4000 rounds of ammo since Gunmageddon.
