Andrea Bocelli has backed out of performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration after he received backlash from his fans.
Despite the rumors that no celebrities wanted to perform at his inauguration, the president-elect reportedly personally approached the blind Italian singer, who originally accepted. Now, according to Page Six, he has changed his mind.
“Bocelli said there was no way he’d take the gig,” a source told Page Six. “He was ‘getting too much heat’ and he said no.”
Another source told Page Six that it was Trump’s idea for Bocelli to back out.
“Trump suggested to Bocelli he not participate because of the backlash. It’s sad people on the left kept him from performing on a historic day.”
Fans threatened to “Boycott Bocelli” after they heard he was planning to perform at Trump’s inauguration.
It just shows what a bigger man Trump is then the left will ever produce as a President.
Pull his visa.
Send the PRESIDENT-ELECT a list of FREEPER singer/song writers.
Come on now, Trump advised him to back out. Sad that he followed that advice though.
Trump should invite Arturo Sandoval.
Perhaps Kid Rock and Ted Nugent would be available....
I hope Trump or one of the speakers at the event calls the left out for their threats and intimidation against performers like Bocelli and Evancho.
If we cant find a single crooner or poet laureate or interpretive dancer for the inauguration. I couldn’t give a flying fornication.
It’ll only serve to highlight the fact that this change of power carries a certain gravity, and that the country singers people THINK are conservative are just nothing but Hollywood pop stars.
Invite Hopalong Ginsburg and Doug from Upland to perform.
Ted Nugent is available.
That would be awesome for Arturo to play at the Inauguration.
