The left hates democracy. Now that they have enough illegals casting votes to tip elections, they have to do away with the electoral college to guarantee control of the White House.
The left actually loves "democracy." It is a Republic that they despise. A democracy, at its core, is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner. The left, through its media/entertainment/academia propaganda complex, can drive the wolf pack in whatever direction it wants to eat the sheep. And it keeps the sheep cowed and submissive. It is only possible when the government is without limits on its power.
A Republic of limited governmental powers, subject to the Rule of Law, is the only way the sheep have rights to not be eaten. And that's why the left despises it, because it gets in the way of their plans.
