Basically that is what the cynical German commenters on this story in their media are saying. They sound like FReepers.
After the “we’ve got the wrong man” one wrote, “well, we’ve got the wrong woman. That’s worse.”
And “they’ve got the wrong man? Haven’t they heard of DNA?”
My favorite comment so far is “Waiting for the police to tell us it was Russian hackers driving that truck.”
They hate their chancellor and media as much as we do.
