Weather Channel’s Fake News Eco-Crusader Kait Parker Finds a New Victim

More fake news from the Weather Channel, which last week attacked Breitbart for writing the truth about global cooling, and which has now launched a similarly politicized and gratuitous attack on the Florida sugar cane industry.

Florida sugar growers, it claims in a ten-minute mini-documentary fronted by its toothsome Hit Girl presenter Kait Parker, are responsible for the outbreak of toxic algae blooms on Lake Okeechobee in the summer.

If true, fair or accurate this would represent serious investigative journalism: the algae, which invaded a 33-square mile section of the Florida’s largest lake in May this year, caused havoc to the local economy and environment, killing fish and other wildlife, poisoning water supplies, closing beaches (on Florida’s Treasure Coast) and causing sickness in humans.

Agenda much? I remember reading someplace that the eco wankers are working into restoring the whole Everglades eco system back to it's original condition(whatever that is over historical time). Tear down dikes and canals and basically make a whole lot of the central part of the state uninhabitable. Maps included in this piece.

Can’t think how many years it’s been since I watched the Weather Channel.

I lived down there in the mid 80s. Back then they blamed the dairy/beef cattle on the north part of the lake for excessive manure.

They also blamed the Corps of Engineers for straightening out the canals that feed into the lake.

They also kind of blamed the sugar industry on the south side of the lake for dumping chemicals.

Of course the natural biology of the lake means there were blooms even when the Seminoles were there, but let’s not worry about science. It’s also why they have so many fish.

LOL! Me neither. They went full tilt boogey about “agw” a long time ago. A lot of shows are inserting “climate change” comments in to the dialog these days. IT’S FREAKIN’ WEATHER!
