That's a fascinating account of what may well have happened at Clinton HQ on Election Night. There is little doubt that in the early evening, she thought she had it won. I confess to even doubting myself around the 8:30 hour (ET). I came thisclose to throwing in the towel and going to bed like I did in 2012 when it became apparent that Romney was going down to defeat.

Within the space of the next hour, things completely flipped and by 9:30PM I was CONVINCED that Trump would win. It was definitely one of the happiest hours of my life as I saw apparent defeat transform into certain victory.

The only video evidence I am aware of that the Clintons were celebrating earlier that evening is here.. Just a six-second video of Bill Clinton prancing like a schoolgirl while Chelsea moves in for the hug.

I'm surprised that this is the only video evidence we have of Clinton HQ that night. I was hoping more video would resurface but other than Podesta's lame speech to the Javits Center at 3AM, there is pretty much nothing.

The fact that she thought she had it won early on only to have her hopes and dreams utterly smashed within an hour or so makes this victory all the sweeter.

Your personal account of that night pretty much mirrors mine. Was ready to go to bed when the counts started coming in and had Trump way down in FL. I felt like if he loses Florida, he’s lost the election. But still hung around, doing some other things and then watching on and off and seeing how things were changing, and like you said around the 8:30-8:45 time frame. So, I held on, stayed up and before I knew it, the race was on! And thank God our man made it to the winner’s box!

Would love to see photos or video from with inside her camp. Too bad nothing has surfaced. Her control, no doubt.

I vaguely remember some time after, seeing a picture of Hillary chugging from a champagne bottle. I don’t think it was time/date stamped, so could have been any random day.

I went to bed a little later than normal that night (9 instead of 8) so definitely wasn’t decided by then, but at least I knew Trump was giving her a run for her money. I don’t have cable and barely get the alphabet stations, so watched no returns that night. I’ve seen a few clips here and there that FReepers posted online.

Last weekend I watched the full coverage by NBC and Fox News. I felt they were overall fairly decent. This weekend I discovered the CNN and MSNBC coverage posted (thank you, YouTube!) so watched those.

OMG!!! Maddow was absolutely disgusting, talking about Trump and ‘revenge politics’ and Van Jones....’people are terrified!!’ Did you IDIOTS care about US being concerned about all these unvetted immigrants you people have been importing??? UGH!!! If I had been Corey I would have laughed in his face!

And it was funny listening to them all giving the same talking points. Unfortunately both videos cut off right after Trump’s acceptance speech, so didn’t see their post analysis.
