Took my first flight to Florida in October which crossed the peninsula from west to east. While the coasts are crowded, I was surprised to see next to nothing in the interior. I am talking the interior far south of Orlando between Sarasota and West Palm Beach, when the flight path veered south to the FLL airport destination.
Is that all gator country?

No not gator county, but farmlands. The Mormon Church owns 5,000 square miles of Florida land for cattle ranching and farming.
