No compromise. They NEVER do.
True. This $11.9B seems to be just the amount of grants doled out to researchers. How much was spent by other departments to send their staffers to useless conferences on Climate Change ? How much was spent on additional staff in completely unrelated agencies to keep the agency apprised of impacts of Climate Change ?
I’ll bet there are extra staff at FEMA, Social Security Admin, Defense, and dozens of others who are “planners” on how to deal with potential effects of Climate Change. And the Federal government has undoubtedly doled out grants to all levels of local governments to hire “planners” on dealing with local effects.
Now, now. With careful planning we can make it through these difficult times of temperatures in the 50’s or even the 40’s. Just remember to bring the animals inside at night, wrap up in blankets, lots of hot cocoa ...
43 degrees here in Los Angeles county right now. Brrrr.
I haven’t heard this recently. It made a lot of sense to me back during the primaries, but it kind of disappeared. I haven’t heard it ever mentioned in any of the debate about how to pay for infrastructure and tax cuts at the same time.
I would even go further and sell off some Federal lands to developers and let them pay to build highways, water projects, and power plants to reach their new property. The states would benefit from property taxes on it as well.
Yeah but, I hate coats. 8>)
Obama has tossed sooooooo much money at Climate Change, it is quite an industry now.
