Pure evil.
Did the author of this piece graduate from this school district?
Must have been some argument though for it to end this way. So sad.
Knowing him, does this surprise you?
At 22 he, was at least a sophomore in high school in the Alief ISD.
Yes. I work in this district.
Well I certainly wasn’t condemning you. There are good teachers even in bad school systems.
Well, I didn’t know him that well. I don’t recall any major issues with him when he was a student nor did I see any issues with him working as a substitute. According to one news report, he had no criminal record. I would just like to add that this the third former student from my school involved in a murder in the last year. I posted the story about the other two back in January.

No offense taken. As far as the students go, I know plenty of good ones. But it seems that more and more bad ones have been popping up over the last several years. Every single one of them involved in a violent crime could have been Obama’s son.
WTH?
Looks like the Alief ISD has some really good high schools and some really bad schools. I didn’t drill down, but I wonder if segregation works.
Fortunately there is a box for “grammatical errors”. I guess the editors have low expectations from their reporters.
Well it use to be the bad ones left the school system when they were 16 now it is mandated that they stay until at least 18.
Now we think if we force them to be there another two years they well change. Let them drop out and leave all the other students well be better off.
Wow.
Geez! The address is only a couple of miles from my house! I could almost throw a rock to the two high schools which are next to each other on High Star Drive.
I actually grew up in Alief and graduated from Elsik High School back in 1994. I now work at Taylor High School.

LOL!!!
WE get this kind of slop daily from our local paper (East Bay Times).
If you flunked your DMV written test due to illiteracy, you have a job waiting for you at the Times!

I subbed last week for the first time. Jr. High and then high school. The faces on these children are so sad. It is like they have already worn out one and on to another. No sparkle, just zombie looking. The Lord’s name in vain all over the place, no respect for each other. I held my own. . . it was a last minute call and the teacher had left no lesson plans for two days. The junior high common core math. . .unbelievable. The book has them go around the block at least three or four times before solving a problem. This nation is going down fast with this curriculum.

I have lived in this house since 1988. The students from both high schools pass my house every morning on the way to school and in the afternoon on the way home from school. ;-)
