Mulvaney’s nomination follows a pattern of Trump turning to individuals with records apparently hostile to the agencies they are nominated to lead.

...

That’s as good as it gets.

Early life, education, and early career
Mulvaney was born in Alexandria, Virginia and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, before moving to Indian Land, South Carolina. Mulvaney attended Georgetown University where he majored in International Economics, Commerce and Finance. At Georgetown, he was an Honors Scholar, the highest level of academic achievement awarded to members of the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, and ultimately graduated with honors in 1989. Mulvaney attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned a full scholarship to attend law school, where his focus was on anti-trust law. He graduated with his law degree in 1992.

From 1992 to 1997, Mulvaney practiced law with the firm James, McElroy & Diehl. Mulvaney joined his family’s homebuilding and real estate business. He participated in the Owners and Presidents Management Program at Harvard Business School. In addition, he had been a minority shareholder and Owner-Operator in Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina, a privately held regional restaurant chain.

He seems well qualified for the job.

“Mulvaney’s nomination follows a pattern of Trump turning to individuals with records apparently hostile to the agencies they are nominated to lead.”

That is an excellent observation.

And it bodes well for a smaller cheaper, less intrusive fedgov.

"shortly after Trump tweeted an inflammatory comment about China’s seizure of a US navy drone"

So it was "inflammatory" to criticize China over a theft of American military hardware, but not "inflammatory" for Obama to threaten Russia with "retaliation" over the alleged hacking of John Podesta's emails?

The leftist press is becoming absolutely laughable in its hypocrisies and obsessions.

...Mulvaney a “very high-energy leader with deep convictions for how to responsibly manage our nation’s finances and save our country from drowning in red ink”. Trump also said that with Mulvaney as his budget director, his administration would make “smart choices” and “renew the American taxpayer’s trust in how their money is spent”.

This is a win ... a flat out wonderful win...thanks Donald Trump...

Fire 500,000 bureaucrats to start, and what’s left in D.C., put them in office trailers on the Kansas plains. Rent out their high dollar D.C. opulent buildings to renters who actually produce things Americans want.

Since when is being fiscally conservative a hostile attitude to have when running a budget office?

My oh my, some idiots are working over time this season.

That’s nonsense.

It’s as if the writer thinks you’re the head of the budget office, so the more you spend the better job you have done.

Yikes...

“… after eight years of an out-of-control, tax-and-spend financial agenda” under Barack Obama.”

And let’s not leave out the limp d!ck RINOs when we assess who was complicit in all of this profligate spending. Face it folks, as much as we need to further decimate the RATs in both houses of Congress, there’s a bunch of nut cuttin’ to be done in the ranks of the GOPe too. If we don’t get rid of McScrotumneck and Lyin’ Ryan (and McCarthy, Scalise, and McMorris Rogers), we risk causing Trump to fail.

Like other Trump nominations, the budget director’s job requires Senate approval.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Some positions do not require Senate approval.

Mulvaney is a member of the House Freedom Caucus.....a further source of heartburn for Little Pauley Ryan......Trump just keeps boxing Ryan in....sheer genius....

Can Ryan do what his words say? Or not......
Can/Will he continue to slither in the shadows?

This will be the best first 3 months to watch EVER....after Trump’s inauguration.

Hometown, Blue-Eyed Boy Next Door...speaking in his Aw Shucks manner at the County Fair......LYING right in front of everyone’s eyes......

Ryan is SO BUSTED

Where can I find the hat Donald was wearing today in Mobile? I've looked online at a ton of wannabes but no cigar, went to the "donaldtrump.com" site but they only have the white version. I want the red ones to give as Christmas presents.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Trump tweets—and China says they’ll return the drone:

(Though presumably having captured whatever tech they want to study from it.)
