There shouldn’t even be a Department of Energy.
It seems that if it were treated as a national security issue, which it is, by people who DIDN'T hate this country it would be a good thing. I think that help is on the way.
The the NYT is a bad choice for a newspaper.

On the surface the DOE does incredible scientific work and has enormous responsibility with nuclear energy but I must ask, what has it accomplished at the government level that cannot be duplicated at the private sector level? Of course some functions are top national security but does it take a cabinet level position to do so? Structuring energy policy into one department has not lived up to one of its initial goals of energy independence. Furthermore, we still do not know who stole nuclear secrets from one of its laboratories.
Hopefully, Perry will be like a director of a hospice, and will watch the patient/the energy department fade away into history's dust bin for worthless and dangerous liberal ideals.
That’s what makes appointing Perry so Ironic. The one department name he couldn’t remember that put his Presidental run in the dumper in one fell swoop.
Another excellent NYT page for the bird cage.
“There shouldnt even be a Department of Energy.”
True. But if you have one, it shouldn’t be run by scientists who know nothing about business. Goodness knows, however, that you could pull a bum in off the street and be no worse off than having the Obama crew running the show.
I second this...
If the NYT doesn’t like him, he must be perfect. Actually did not read the article nor would I or anything those idiots wrote.
