I happened to be a passenger on a road trip this afternoon with an old friend who listens to All Things Considered. I was forced to listen to about a half hour of the program, which I haven't heard in probably fifteen years.

Anyway, they led off the five-o'clock segment with headline stories about possible responses of the Obama administration to "Russian Cyberactivity," and a story about supposed breaching of the DNC by Russian Hackers; this is the story to which a link is given (see above).

I braced myself for a highly politicized diatribe, anti Trump, making all kinds of conspiratorial connections between DJT and the Russians and Putin. I was really not looking forward to having to sit through this.

But then the story came on. I listened to it very carefully, and I have to say it really came across as a big fat nothingburger. There was literally nothing there. The guy basically said the Russians do this all the time, and they're not the only ones, and its nothing new. No connection to Republicans. No connection to Trump. No connection to Hillary. No connection to Trump's victory over Hillary. I think the interviewer tried to set up a connection to Hillary's loss, but the cyber-"expert" who was being interviewed didn't bite, and the subject went no where.

I hope some of you will give up four minutes of your time to listen to the story, and see if you think I'm right.

I think the gas pressure is leaking out of this story.

A number of the conservative pages, and many of my conservative friends, on Facebook (I know) are having a blast with this story.

They’ve taken Alinsky’s comment about the potency of ridicule to inspired levels, and “The Russians Did It” memes and jokes are proliferating like crazy.

Limbaugh should stop wringing his hands and revert back to his form of 20 years ago and have fun with the silliness of the whole thing.

If you click on the comments under articles on Fakebook, you’ll see that the DUmasses don’t bother to read the articles, listen to the clips, play the videos, or even argue the merits of evidence.

It’s merely drive-by media fodder to keep the illusion of “undue influence” out there. Headlines drive the narrative.

NBC Nightly led with “confirmation” that the Rooskies helped the Trump campaign vouched for by unnamed “intelligence” people.

The company claims it stops security breaches. Guess DNC, Hillary, Podesta and company should have used it.

I was channel surfing online and I believe it was CNN with a breaking news story that said Putin was personally involved in hacking our election. Anyone else hear this?

>90% of penetration attempts on our corporate firewalls appear to originate from China or Russia. That they appear to originate from Russia doesn’t mean they did originate from Russia.

Since the last two DNC heads have been exposed as idiots and the Hillary campaign relied on gmail and homebrewed servers, I’d be surprised if junior Hugh kids in Russia haven’t hacked them.

“Higher ups” in intelligence now say there is evidence that Putin himself was involved and he did it because he hates Hillary. Now Obama is thinking of a response before he leaves office.

I hope Trump tells Putin to just hang on a few more days.

Does it matter?

The “hackers” did not WRITE the emails

people seem to forget that fact

I still think it could be an inside effort as well, usually this stuff is.

Well if the Russians hacked the DNC emails
It is damn sure that they were able to hack into Hillary’s unsecure private EMAIL Server

I thought it very cute when CBS reached into the Progressive garbage can and extracted Mike Morrell, the disgraced Acting CIA Director, to boost the Russian hack fake news. Charlie Rose even asked him if the CIA actually got the “WMD” assessment wrong and Morrell agreed but stated that the CIA got it right most of the time.

Glaring non-ask by Rose was: “Weren’t you (Morrell) in charge when the CIA & State vigorously puked out the anti-Muslim movie fake story”?
