A man who was fatally shot by a friend as they both celebrated their 24th birthday on Monday warned the shooter the gun he was holding was cocked just before he pulled the trigger.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Aaron Patrick Moore and Fischer Hoisington had been drinking and playing video games together in the 500 block of East Stassney Lane around 1 a.m. before Moore pulled a handgun out of a drawer by his kitchen sink and an placed a bullet in the chamber.

Drunk people with guns, what could go wrong. Maybe they should try chainsaws next time, but I’d put my money on similar results.
“Moore pulled a handgun out of a drawer by his kitchen sink and an placed a bullet in the chamber.”
Manslaughter?
Anyone that gives a lock and loaded handgun to a friend to ‘shoot’ you deserves to be removed from the gene pool.
It would help if they didn’t point the gun at something they didn’t intend to kill.
“Manslaughter?”
Read the article.
Both knew there was a round in the chamber and one pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.
In my house there is one rule regarding guns. They’re always loaded, always. These guys were idiots, people like that shouldn’t own guns.
“Both knew there was a round in the chamber and one pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.”
How do you know both knew?
“the pair would frequently mess with guns when they got together, and had been posing with the weapon and simulating shooting one another a few minutes before”
A real life Beavis and Butthead
Failed to follow gun safety rule #1 (always assume a gun is loaded and could fire) and gun safety rule #2 (never point a gun at something you aren’t intending to shoot).
See? This is proof that the Obamastaffel should go door to door confiscating guns. /s
“Booze and firearms”
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, sounds like a party, not a federal department. What idiot put that together?
Dead good friend couldn't be reached for comment.
Other friends are fairly sure he'd say, don't point that gun at me bro!
Rule #1 taught to me as a 6 year old handling my first gun — NEVER point a gun at someone unless you intend to shoot them. It doesn’t matter if it’s “cocked”, or “empty”, or “not loaded” or “you’re just kidding around”. NEVER.
Passing a gun around at a gathering of your friends...
...maybe not such a hot idea after all.
DUH!
“How do you know both knew?”
I know because the affidavit states that Moore placed a bullet in the chamber.
And being that Moore was not available for comment when the affidavit was drafted, the only person that could have said that Moore put a round in the chamber was Hoisington.
And it was Hoisington that pulled the trigger.
