Two Colorado Democratic electors have lost their bid to break with the popular vote after a federal judge threw out their motion, calling it a “political stunt.”

U.S. District Court Judge Wiley Daniel rejected late Monday the request for a temporary injunction to suspend a Colorado law requiring members of the Electoral College to cast their ballots for the presidential candidate receiving the most votes.

“Part of me thinks this is really a political stunt to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president,” said Judge Daniel, appointed to the bench by President Bill Clinton.

IMO, they were trying to establish a precedent they could use to get Trump electors in other states to flip to Hillary or someone else.

“Part of me thinks this is really a political stunt to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president,” said Judge Daniel...

That'd be a good part, I'm guessing. Like 104%.

They are trying to engineer a litigation over it... so states that Trump won and have binding laws can be pulled in or the binding law over turned.

my Wife's legal opinion.

Their beef is with the GOP. Their case was about faithless electors not who to particularly vote for.

Probably an attempt to pave the way for other electors to bring similar suits.

100% of you should think that. Because it is nothing more than a political stunt.

Yeah, I had the same question. The answer I got was a good one, by freeing them they free all electors. It would have been very dangerous if the judge had sided with them.

I think there’s a good chance of that. And they can say, “See, we even tested this in a state we had something to lose in.”

Even a Clinton-appointed judge knows this case was pure BS.

Only six (6) more days to listen to the BS about the electoral votes being stolen by the demodummies. The next step will be closer to the date the senate votes and then all the screaming, shouting, protesting, safe room crying, thumb sucking, tears and the like will have been for naught and Trump will proudly say “I WILL” as he accepts the title of “United States President Donald Trump”. Then, be prepared for the liberals to start their damn war. Truthfully, I am ready, locked and loaded and willing to fire upon liberal Americans if necessary!

Has any faithless elector ever been prosecuted (or, say, civilly sued)?
Has any faithless elector’s vote ever not been counted?
