Only four of the original 24 Obamacare health co-ops remain standing after Marylands co-op announced Dec. 8 it was suspending the sale of individual health insurance policies, the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has found.
The four remaining co-ops clinging to financial solvency are in Massachusetts, Montana, New Mexico, Wisconsin.

Good News!
Repeal Obamacare!
And then abolish Medicaid and Medicare.

You can’t just dump the ACA with no replacement and leave 20 million people flapping in the breeze. There has to be a transitional replacement in place.
It is phasing itself out.
I doubt it would be in existence in 2 years even if nothing was done to get rid of it.
Oh? What do you think people are doing now? They’re not getting insurance through a government exchange, they’re getting insurance through their employer - as they have in the past.
Reminds me of when Dirigo Health Care was crashing and burning...
Ah yes, those were the good old days.
“You cant just dump the ACA with no replacement and leave 20 million people flapping in the breeze.”
Those 20 million people only add to the congestion and crowding of the health care infrastructure.
If we were to replace Obamacare, it would only be replaced by another federal boondoggle.
Yes, it’s eating itself. But unfortunately it’s taking Social Security and Medicare with it as sides.

Nonsense. You take both sides of the argument.
Roughly 20 million total between the ACA between the Marketplace, Medicaid expansion, young adults staying on their parents plan, and other coverage provisions. There must be a replacement for the repeal to work.
What, you think the carriers forgot how to package and market medical insurance?
Once unleashed, and maybe before, they'll be going hog-wild writing new business in the individual market...and unlike before, selling it nationwide.
It'll be "survival of the fittest" as the least regulated/best organized entities hit the track...the carriers from loser states will bog down and leave the race.
wow that’s worse than the original website. It’s not just getting more expensive (yeah yeah they’ll say it is increasing at a slower rate than it would have...) it’s FAILING
The title is confusing co-ops and exchanges. Other exchanges are still open.
That's not in the wings.
What is; is free market reform, private sector competition, which will result in lower premiums and better coverage.
Not everyone can get insurance through an employer. Especially the self-employed
ROFLMAO
The exchanges were far from the worst part - it was the massive avalanche of requirements and then the regulations of what policies can and cannot cover, what doctors can and cannot treat, the types of policies available, favoritism for corporate structures vs. small practices, and too many other things to list...and unfortunately all of that remains regardless of the exchanges collapsing...and it is almost certainly why they are collapsing along with many other things in the system.
Why? They screwed millions of working people with this boondoggle who now cannot afford health insurance. Maybe they should just get screwed right back.
“Nonsense. You take both sides of the argument.”
How am I making both sides of the argument?
