Leaders resigned to fall of Syrian city plead for safe passage for civilians and mercy for rebel fighters
World diplomats have pleaded for safe passage for Aleppos civilians and for respect to be shown to Syrias disintegrating rebel forces as Bashar al-Assads army moves ever closer to victory in the devastated city.
...Russia claimed tens of thousands of people had left the city in the past three days during a humanitarian pause, but on Saturday the east of the city was under bombardment. The UK foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, and the US secretary of state, John Kerry, were among the powers in Paris calling for civilians to be evacuated and condemning Assads indiscriminate bombing as a crime against humanity.
Kerry urged Russia to show a little grace as he was due to meet his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Geneva, hoping for a deal to enable people to leave Aleppo. The UN has expressed concern about reports that hundreds of men have gone missing after reaching government-held territory.
..Johnson added his voice to the calls for a humanitarian end to the siege and said: Although the deterioration of the situation in Aleppo will be a setback for the Syrian opposition, it will not change the fundamentals of the conflict. There can be no military solution in Syria. We must keep pushing for a return to a political process with the credibility necessary for all parties to commit to an end to all the fighting.

No doubt. Appears that the CIA is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood lately.
Kerry begging for mercy is hardly news, heh.
I agree. Gracefully just like the Union treated surrendering rebel soldiers at the beginning of the movie The Outlaw Josie Wales. Decently fed then decently shot.
“IS has dispatched a considerable force to Palmyra from the area of Raqqa, where militants, backed by the US and the international coalition CEASED combat action against the terrorists this week, the statement by the Russian military says.”
“Leaders resigned to fall of Syrian city”
Assinine, it hasn’t fallen. It has been liberated.
Russia, over a month ago, asked Obama admin to sort out their “moderate rebels” from the rest. Meantime, Russia stopped bombing in Syria. Obama admin didn’t, or wasn’t seemingly able to distinguish between ‘moderates’ and ‘extremists’ they’ve been arming.
The above has a longer history, think 2011-2013. I distinctly recall an article mentioning Alexander Downer, now the Australian High Commissioner to the UK, back then asking if the U.S. admin knew who the “moderate rebels” were they were supporting?!... his question might have had something to do with Libya too (IIRC). I thought it was an excellent question.
Obama admin has an atrocious trackrecord of either being hellbent on removing regimes, such as Ghaddafi’s in Libya, and later Syria, and or letting it all loose (be it surreptitiously) across the M.E. and N. Africa, with no one to restrain them.
Assad was democratically elected by Syrian people, before the start of the war in Syria. Right or wrong, Assad is was the chosen leader, and Syria is a sovereign nation. You can’t just waltz in and decide you gonna remove regimes because you don’t like them - it is a blatant act of aggression.
The whole middle east is in chaos, the refugees are causing chaos in Europe, and Chaos is being sown in the USA with post election riots, and PSYOPS shenanigans. The Globalists seem to be trying to crash everything on Earth at the same time.
I can only come up with a few reasons why the US Government has embarked on such actions the past few years and some of them are darned crazy:
1. Saudi Arabia wanted Yemen, Egypt, Syria etc. taken down and the Muslim Brotherhood installed.
2. Something to do with oil supply to Europe instead of depending on the Soviet Union.
3. Remnants of the Cold War (which is actually heated up now)-get rid of all the regimes that were friendly with Russia.
4. Create chaos so that all the refugees can cause chaos all over Europe so that more Government Power can be exerted on the people.
5. Provoke a nuclear war so that overpopulation is no longer a problem.
Like Trump said, these people do not have your best interest at heart.
well our vaunted magic negro is a mooselimb sympathizer who has pushed this gutter, “religion” upon us all and placed his comrades in positions of power throughout the federal gub mint.
FBI, IRS, CIA, SBA and many more agencies are practically worthless as a result of this marxist punk.
The number of moderate rebels is and was always 0, so separating them from the non-moderates was easy.
Sounds like the losers whimpering, “Be nice!” And it is our own proxy army that has lost Aleppo.
Yep - we were neck deep in the attempt to overthrow Assad and help ISIS - now we don’t want families of our agents suing or airing what we were actually doing....
The best way to “show grace” is to kill every last member of ISIS.
This is my take:
1. Islamic nations are generally extremely reactive, easily exploited, and politically unintelligent. That is to say they are very easily “persuaded” to fight (jihad) if it is in the name of Allah, and if their religion is invoked - actually or perceived to be under attack.
2. In the past few decades, the U.S. has used the Islamic angle to its advantage. Firstly during USSR era, in Afghanistan directly. Carter’s advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinsk often wrote & talked about a “Green Belt of Islam” to counter the USSR.
3. Many M.E. countries had secular “dictators”, who were influenced by if not direct clients of USSR during the Cold War. Their removal gradually was to counter what was USSR, but also today’s Russia, as a continuation.
4. Because of historical dependency by a number of Islamic countries on so-called ‘dictators’ (sort of like ‘father figures’), the concept and practice of Western democracy and self-rule has never been totally developed in the M.E. - hence the people there are mostly very politically “under-developed”.
5. When the people are so easily provoked through religion, and can be exploited, it means one can easily control them. They can be very willing participants in endless wars, and basically pawns in the hands of not only their ‘religious rulers’ but also outsiders who back those religious rulers. It can keep countries weak & perpetually (indirectly) conquered.
6. Of course, the real war is between the *Major Powers*, each wanting to dominate over the other on the grand chessboard - politically, socially, ideologically, and economically. Their logic being, if I give an inch my competitor will take a yard.
The above have consequences for us, such as refugees in Europe or generally the Western world. It is abundantly clear there would be far fewer people leaving the M.E. or N. Africa, if they had political and economic stability in their own countries.
I agree with what you are saying. I’ll just add that I think that within this framework there are Globalist players who will happily bring all the governments of the Western World down at once if they can. Radicals who think nothing of exterminating millions and millions of people and enslaving the rest.
Expect to have more and more chaos thrown at us.
Nice work, DR
President Jimmy Carter, the peanut brain, grinning enemy of his own country and the West, pushed the start button hard by overthrowing the stable, Western-oriented regime of the Shah of Iran and bringing in the mullahs to this huge country. Muslim Brotherhood Huma/Hillary/Obama’s deposing of stable, Western-oriented Hosni Mubarak (and getting the media to sing a cover-up song entitled “Arab Spring”) and imposing Muslim Brotherhood Morsi was on this continuum of U.S. overturning regimes and imposing Islamic Jihad regimes. Yes, the evidence is that Islamic Jihad runs U.S. policy.
