President-elect of the United States of America Donald J. Trump emerged on Saturday as a Commander-in-Chief-in-waiting at the annual Army-Navy football game, unifying the countryand her armed forcesbehind his incoming administration.
Yesterday was the first day of Donald Trumps presidency. It was Reagan-esque in that it grasped the importance of symbolism, David Urban, a West Point graduate and senior adviser to the president-elects campaign whose box Trump sat in for the first half, told Breitbart News. Donald Trump not only understood the significance of the Army-Navy game and all it stands for in America, but he understands those visual images of him standing with the men and women of the armed services are seen across the world by our friends and enemies alike.

I’ll get executed for this question, but I only follow pro football.
Are these teams the best players from the army and the navy? Are they two military schools? Do they play every year.
Nyer here. Cut me some slack :)
West Point versus Annapolis.
The Progressives are not going to follow along. They will be worse than dead weight over the next 4 years.
This is the most embarrassing moment of my life!!
Well, close.
Thank you. And duh!!! How did I not figure that out!!!??
Ever heard of a place called “West Point”?
It’s just up the road from you, on the Hudson River. ;-)
Where I went to college, we called it “Hudson High”.
Ollie was there too. Great pic of the Commander in Chief
in the Navy box. Oooorah! Marines!
I know Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn like the back of my hand :)
After that, it gets tricky.
Well, southern Jersey I know pretty well too :)
“This is the most embarrassing moment of my life!!”
Hey, at least you didn’t ask whether the winner now goes to the playoffs against the Air Force or the Marines .. LOL
Former NYer here (Brooklyn). NYC Joke:
"You're from Jersey? What exit?" :-)
I’m sorry but you cannot possibly be serious.
Pretty old rivalry between these 2 military academies. They have played almost every year since 1899. (There have been 4 years in which the game was not played.)
The Army Academy is in New York state, at West Point. The Naval Academy is in the state capital of my beautiful state of Maryland.
There’s some info on the longstanding rivalry right here:

I don’t care a whit about football, but I asked the husband to DVR this so that we could see the opening ceremonies, the half-time show, and how Trump was received there.
Jerks did not show the half-time show. Instead they showed some ESPN-type discussion among a group of sports “experts”. Don’t know what they talked about, as we ffwd through it. But I am willing to bet they intentionally left off the half-time show so that the public would not see Trump being applauded and cheered.
If you go about 45 minutes north of the GW bridge you can tour west point. The military museum there is outstanding.
It is a very open and relaxing ride once you get north of the GW. It is a great day trip especially for young men.
I am serious and don’t call me Shirley. :)
I can tell you where to get the best pizza slice or the best cannoli in Manhattan.
Which restaurants are best around the theater district.
Where to find a bar at 5am in Manhattan.
Get you into an underground casino in Brooklyn.
But didn’t know about this game :)
Thanks. The GW. yeesh.
Would have to leave early on a weekend.
St. Mary’s City?
CBS announcers tried to give the impression that the applause was because the cameras showed the scoreboard, rather than being for the President-elect entering the stadium.
The media is incorrigible.
