The Army football team and its fans around the world can finally rejoice.

No longer will they have to listen to barbs from Navy or lament another missed opportunity in the biggest game of the year.

At long last, The Streak is over.

Army ended a 14-year run of frustration against the Midshipmen, using an overpowering running game and opportunistic defense to carve out a long overdue 21-17 victory Saturday.

With future commander in chief Donald Trump looking on, the Black Knights blew a 14-point lead before quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw scored on a 9-yard run with 6:42 left to give Army the win it had been waiting for since 2001.

Oh yeah? Wail until next year. LOL! Good job Army. Too bad the Middies were down to either their 4th or 5th string QB. They didn't manage to get their sea legs going to well. But at least the incoming CINC got some appreciation from the attendees.

Favorite stat of the game: 3 penalties total. None by Army. (Not a knock on the middies as three is outstanding, none is almost impossible).

I always root for Navy (family history) and I will say that once every 15 years is very acceptable.

I’m sure the homos and trannies in The Corps and The Brigade rejoice daily in the entire structure’s violation of the Honor Codes.

Congrats Army, eh?

Interesting to note that the vast majority of our top football college teams couldn’t pass the core curriculum of either of these academies.

Add to that the post-graduation commitment to a minimum of 5 years active duty (I believe). This pretty much denies pro-team careers and thus discourages all but the most patriotic from attending the Academies.

It was a real football game. No one tried to maim someone on the other team. No stupid dances in the end-zone. The Army sweep was pretty impressive.

Both teams played their hearts out. Neither school’s football team is an NFL farm club, more power to them. This is what college football should be like.

And the reception for President-elect Trump was wonderful, and the courteous treatment afforded him by the CBS was appreciated by my wife and me. And Vern Lundquist gets to be ambassador to Sweden!

I won't gig you on the 'to'/'too'/'two' oopsie, but the same kind of injury report could probably (and probably was) be cited for Army losses in the past. As an Army supporter, the lack of FR to post during the game MUST HAVE BEEN a NAVY CONSPIRACY!

Yea, Army beat a 2nd to 4th string Navy team but hey let them have it. I loved it. I'll never forget the general or whomever on the side by himself, hiding his hands behind a rail saying a rosary with 5 minutes left.

You really have to admire those men, studying for their degrees and studying/learning plays and attending practice. You have to wonder when they sleep or eat.

Yes. He did an outstanding job playing in his FIRST game. I am so tempted to put my bragging Army supporting friends straight, but I haven’t done so. Navy was down 9 starters.......I doubt Army would have fared so well if they had had to play the team that started the season for Navy.

The sum total of a long David Ginsburg article on Trump's being at the game or Trump's charming interaction with the announcers is printed below. The left hopes no one sees Trump being Trump at his best.

After watching from the Navy side of the field before halftime, Trump visited the TV booth on the Army side in the third quarter. The interview with the president-elect coincided with a big shift in momentum. .
