Sacramento City Unified School District trustees will vote Thursday on whether to declare itself a “safe haven” that will protect students fearful of deportation or hate speech, joining a growing number of districts around the state taking action after the presidential election.

The resolution comes as a direct response to the “intolerant rhetoric made over the course of the 2016 presidential race” and reports of increased hate speech at district schools, according to the proposal.

“It’s important for Sacramento City Unified to reiterate that we’re focused on the education of every child who resides in our district, regardless of their immigration status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion and that’s what this resolution does,”

So these undocumented children attend our schools by the force of our laws but once there they demand to be sheltered from our laws.

Interesting that the FR thread above this one is about Kerry warning about populist authoritarianism.

Bring back the rule of law and blind justice.

It’d be funny if all the taxes payers left Sacramento. They won’t, but it’d sure be hilarious if they would.

Fine, so long as they can do it without any federal money.

They seem pretty excited, how about we let them put their money where their mouth is.

NO Average Daily Attendance money for any Person that does not have a Valid and Verified Social Security number.

You pay for the education of these people then, NOT ME!!!

I spent $10,000 and spent 1 1/2 years to get my Wife a GREEN CARD LEGALLY.!!

F%$* OFF and DIE!

I only get hatred from these people towards me and my family for over a decade....

I was at a store last week and the cashier was speaking spanish to the customer ahead of me.

They were shrill about it.

I could tell it was on purpose.

Too bad we won! TOO BAD~!

California cannot pay its social program bills without other states chipping in to pay for it. I would love to see California succeed. They would be just like Mexico. We will have to build the wall up the California eastern border but it would be cheaper than continuing to pay for Californias social experiments.

Sacramento’s already a crime-ridden sh*t hole.

This will only make it worse.
