I am of the opinion that the federal government ownership of any lands within a single state should be limited to no more than 20% of the total acreage of the state. Any excess lands should be returned to the state.

Nothing prevents a Republican controlled Congress from selling any or all federal land to the states or individuals.

Not only land use, and water, too :

the Forest Service is endangering the Town of Tombstone’s supply of safe drinking water and ability to fight fires by cutting off the famous city’s access to the mountain springs that has provided the desert town with water since the 1880s.
