Microwave Fracking: Environmentally Friendly And Extremely Efficient
Manufacturing Talk Radio ^ | October 14,2016

Posted on 12/06/2016 5:01:12 PM PST by Hojczyk

Fracking has faced serious opposition from environmental groups throughout the United States and the communities that surround these industrial operations. The main issue surrounding fracking is the disposal of wastewater that some fear could contaminate groundwater in these communities where fracking operations are located.

It may sound like something out of a science fiction movie but hydraulic fracking could instead become microwave fracking. This new process is more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly than traditional hydraulic fracking. The biggest concern with fracking is the disposal of wastewater. However with this new process water would be able to be eliminated from the process entirely. [It would cause] “a whole shift in the paradigm, – We don’t need water for our process and we don’t have wastewater to dispose of afterward,” said Peter Kearl, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the microwave fracking company Qmast, bit.ly/2dMVK5q

A single one of these microwave oil operations could produce around 800,000 barrels of oil. This could be what the oil company has been searching for, a competitive yet environmentally friendly way of producing shale oil. What is even more impressive is how soon these operations may be deployed and deployed. By 2017 the United States may be utilizing this incredible technology to help power the world. We can’t wait to see one of these microwave fracking operations in action. We’ll have more developments surrounding microwave fracking as they become available so check back soon.

Microwaves? What is the energy required? How is it focused?

Okay, so I poured water into the microwave and fracked it big time. But now that I’ve harvested the microwaves, what do I do with them?

First you close the door, then punch in the time and optionally the power setting (I guess this is as far as I can drag this joke).

Actually the wastewater from fracking is only a small part of the amount of the wastewater problem. Most of the wastewater is produced water that is produced along with the oil and natural gas. In some formations there is as much as 100 barrels of produced water for 5 barrels or less oil.

The Arbuckle formation in Oklahoma takes water easily with minimal pumping and expense. Unfortunately it is the Arbuckle wastewater wells that appears to be the problem of causing earthquakes when near faults.

Tomorrow first thing, I’m taking our kitchen microwave out to our backyard, run a heavy duty extension cord out and COMMENCE FRACKING. The oil will soon be flowing -— hope my wife doesn’t get mad.

They say it will be 20% more expensive than conventional methods of extraction - environmentally-friendly and more expensive: the perfect combination!

Sounds good. But meaningless to the greenies. Their goal is to stop the fuel that results from fracking. They won’t be happy until we’re all living in electricity-free huts and cooking with animal dung like the countries they think are environmentally friendly.

They’ll just find new arguments about new methods of fracking and try to avoid admitting that the fracking isn’t the real goal.

Interesting video. I suspect a challenge from the NAACP as it is reported that once the oil is removed from the shale, the shale loses its dark color.

” Sounds good. But meaningless to the greenies.”

Exactly right! This will just make them madder.

This is likely only due to the new tech being introduced at higher expense - as it comes on line in greater volume/availability price will likely drop and may end up cheaper than current means.

Maybe this will come about, but it will not slow down the Greenies in the least. They are all about throwing sand in the gears of this country's economy, so they will simply move the goalposts yet again (remember that they used to be fine with NG just a few years ago, but now they aren't).

“sand in the gears”

Fracking just opens up the formation - then they need to use sand to prop the cracks open so they can get the oil. IIRC the “propent” is placed with water, and stuff added to the water so it flows better, won’t rust or clog the extraction pipes, etc.

It is all so silly though. These greenies are worried about damage to aquifers that are probably all above 1000 feet deep. And the drilling is probably 5,000 to 10,000 feet deep. With solid, impermeable rock in between the two. Oh - and the chemical-treated water is being injected into....OIL FORMATIONS!.

You know those burritos you microwave at the 7-Eleven? I think it has something to do with that.
