I must agree his presentation was great and he took a close up show (in my opinion the best magic) and made it play for millions.

Its always great to see that moment of astonishment on peoples face. Its very pure and for a split second nothing else matters.

He is obviously very skilled with his prestidigitation then he does a self working trick where he can concentrate and emphasize the presentation leaving the audience to think gads that guy is amazing with cards.

I've seen magicians do this to other magicians especially with cards. Do all sorts of tough sleights then throw in something that is self working - good times

I just read your profile - I would never have the guts to perform like you.
I *really* enjoy performing a little close-up in front of a couple of friends or relatives though.
The amount of time I sink into practicing an effect even for them is over the top, though.
I just enjoy the resulting look on their face after doing something “impossible.”

I saw a great card trick where the magician seemed to do the trick "wrong" at first.

He holds up a deck of cards and asks someone in the audience to identify one card in the deck. Someone in the crowd says, "the ten of hearts" or something like that.

The guy picks a card out of the deck and it's the wrong card. He apologizes and picks another one out. It's wrong again. He does this about three more times, feigning humiliation and embarrassment each time.

Finally, he gets angry and gives up on it. He throws the entire deck of cards up in the air, and when they land on the floor every card in the deck that lands face-up is a ten of hearts.. LOL!
