Mr. Trump interrupted her to declare his commitment to the Constitution — even to parts of it that do not exist, such as “Article XII.” Shock swept through the room as Mr. Trump confirmed one of our chief concerns about him: He lacked a basic knowledge of the Constitution.

On the other hand, maybe he simply misspoke, and was actually referring to Amendment XII.

Don’t remember any shock about 57 states and a few more to visit.

Face it. No matter what he says or does, (manufactured) shock is going to sweep the rooms of the NYT. He says left, they say right. He says day, they say night. It’s how it is.

I dunno. I think we should start ignoring crapola like this. Maybe concentrate on the first 100 days promises. Build a scorecard. Ask the new president week to week how he’s coming. If he doesn’t try seriously hard on those items, shock should sweep through the country.

I have faith in our new guy. I want to keep on winning, which means avoiding getting drawn into these pointless issues.
