What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I swear that a lot of “smart” kids going INTO college actually come out dumber, not all but many.

I've observed the same with nieces, nephews, and cousins' offspring that I know. I find some end their college years and are less-likable people than when they began. Several who come to mind are now more-knowledgeable about things that make no practical difference in their lives at all, except to alienate them from their elders who want to love them.
