Charlie Daniels on Trump Bypassing MSM with Social Media: Bring It On, Mr. President-Elect
cnsnews.com ^ | 12/5/2016 | Charlie Daniels

When social media came into our lives, I think most of us viewed them as more cyber toys. To some it was a convenient way to communicate with a circle of friends. To others it was a way to insult and denigrate, safely hiding behind the anonymity of an avatar.

As one who was basically dragged into all things cyber-related by my computer savvy son, I did finally – however reluctantly – come on board, and found a world of possibilities, and I mean “world” in the literal sense.

I was amazed at the scope of social media, at the instant planetwide distribution of opinion, praise, criticism and commentary. I was also amazed at the freedom the medium created, the freedom to say whatever was on your mind and have like-minded, and “un” like-minded people respond in a matter of seconds.

Thanks Mr. Daniels. Kinda like Dick Cheney (evil!), makes the msm kinda irrelevant. As in 'we don't need you to tell us what we think'. But, I still don't tweet, instagram, facebook, facetime, linkedin', etc.

Doesn't matter. We know who you are, all about your relatives, your entire financial and tax history, your proclivities, and every last link you've ever clicked on the Internet before it even began. Plus, we can open your garage door and swipe your lawnmower.

“The essay I want to share with you is one the most excellent and far-reaching pieces of truth I have ever read. The writer is Carl Herman. Carl Herman is a National Board Certified Teacher of US Government, Economics, and History; also credentialed in Mathematics...he demands a clear vision of the current Mainstream Media hoax that is currently being played upon Alternative Media. He gives examples of the true hoax of Mainstream Media, which has been played on the American people for a very long time. That is how Alternative Media was born….we had to find our way from the darkness of lies to Light of truth. The Internet is both a positive and negative entity, but Alternative Media has become the positive force of the Internet...”

So Trump uses Twitter. The media needs bypassing, but I also hope he doesn’t overdo it.

Does anyone remember when Obama was on TV just about every day tooting his horn? Eventually he pulled so much time, often prime time, that the networks stopped carrying him. And many of us stopped listening!

But the problem with Obama, it’s all lies, all the time.

I'm down with Trump bypassing the Lying Stupid Media and going straight to the American people. It's how Reagan did it but Trump has social media, where Reagan didn't.

I think it was a video clip of the Harvard forum on the debriefing of the campaigns and election that I saw the moderator, John Dickerson of CNN, asked Trump's campaign manager, Kelly Ann, if Trump tweeting all the time was "presidential". She gave the best answer I've heard so far to push back at those who think Trump is not "presidential" enough.

She said that since he won the presidency, that yes, it was presidential. Great answer. Shut Dickerson up right away.
