Many on our side found the whole idea of “fundamental change” profoundly disturbing.

In fact, I think that was the President’s purpose in using that phrase. He wanted to disturb us, profoundly.

In fact, both words, “profound” and “fundamental” have the same root, I believe.

When people on our side expressed misgivings that arose from our feelings of profound disturbance, we were told we could ride on the bus, but we weren’t to make any noise. I remember that very clearly.

Now Mr. Kerry is basically expressing the same feelings, and I think it might be well for him to be told what we were told.

Specifically, said Kerry, “Israel must confront what he described as a binary choice: to either permit Jews to flourish in Judea and Samaria, or to separate from the area and establish a Palestinian state.”

Gosh. Such a difficult decision. Which should we choose? Oooh, since my brains leaked out my left ear, I just don’t know!/sarc
