Sheriff Babeu – In A Month We’re Going After The Criminals Obama’s Been Protecting
ETF News ^ | December 4, 2016 | Rick Wells

Posted on 12/04/2016 7:17:07 AM PST by Cheerio

Sheriff Paul Babeu can barely contain his enthusiasm for what lies ahead after January 20th. It’s a time when he and other law enforcement professionals, both local and at the federal level, finally get to return to doing the job the people pay them to do. It’s the wondrous time when the obstructionist scofflaws currently occupying and abusing positions will be kicked to the curb.

Rick Wells reported: They play a couple of quotes from President-elect Trump during his thank you tour stop in Cincinnati. In one he pledges to restore our sovereignty, a huge commitment that is diametrically opposed to what we would have been enslaved to under the corrupt globalist Democrats. In two others Trump says “We will finally end illegal immigration” and "We will construct a great wall at the border."

The interview is prefaced with an observation that Trump had been criticized for appearing to soften his stance, which was a concern shared by many after some of his recent comments. Sheriff Babeu is asked about the level of commitment from the president-elect. Babeu says "They were never listening to Donald Trump if they thought this was not going to happen. He said it was going to happen, he’s never wavered, he’s the next president of the United States, and anybody who doubts his very clear plans and intentions, this is one of his top promises, he will deliver. He’s a man of his word."

This is a very big underlying issue, the fact that a significant number of Mexicans feel that the US southwest is theirs. Mexico, as a land/region has been populated by indigenous people for thousands of years, and definitely many of these people were displaced by the series of wars and conquests that involved this region, including the Spanish colonization in the 1600s. As a country, Mexico was founded in 1824, obviously after the US was founded.

My point is that it's not a situation in which Mexico was a longstanding territorial reality that the US stole land from. Indigenous peoples, throughout the Americas, have legitimate complaints about the ways they've been treated, and IMHO we should be respecting our territorial commitments to our indigenous people, including respecting the autonomy of reservations, and also encouraging all indigenous people born into American heritage to take part in and benefit from all the educational and economic opportunity our nation has to offer. That said, Mexico has the same responsibility to its indigenous people, and often fails in this.

It sure is. Best thing to do would be to wall it off and let them do their thing - with no possibility of immigration to any place in the remaining 49 states.

See the Travis McGee short history of the Soutwest that’s on my FR profile page for a great summary. Clearly you get it, but the summary is useful for those who don’t.

Babs ran for congress and lost to a dem. His term as sheriff expires at the end of this year, before Trump takes office if I'm not mistaken.

The newly elected sheriff in Pinal County is Mark Lamb - straight, wife and 5 kids, spent 2 years on mission in Argentina. Not likely to generate as many national headlines but has a good immigration stance and we hope to see the occasional PCSO patrol on the west side of the county.

There is not a nation on earth that wasn’t stolen from some original people. The “indigenous people” conquered by Spanish conquistadors were, in fact, conquerors of the previous indigenous people. Humane treatment and lawful regard for treaties should be paramount; however addressing past injustices only brings more injustice. California is one of the most beautiful, temperate environments in the world. Once a beacon of economic opportunity and a showcase for rational progress, it has become the poster child for liberal failure.

Mexico already has material wealth, but its culture of corruption has kept it from experiencing it’s potential. With or without immigration, California has long pursued the same path. Despite an economic output surpassing most nations, Californian fascists have destroyed the state without even managing to get the trains running on schedule.

California dreaming is great in theory, but I wish they’d keep it to themselves and quit ruining the rest of the country with their mindless propaganda and constant conquest through migration. Whenever a viable group Californians move, they generate another fascist infestation.
