The woman who was shot and killed Thursday night in her south Sacramento home was with her husband and two children when shots were fired into their house.
Ariyana Jones, 26, was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office on Friday. Police said she was shot about 7:30 p.m. inside her house in the 6700 block of Tortola Way

Black street gangs had been preying on Asian living in South Sacramento for a couple of years until they armed themselves and patrolled their neighborhoods. This poor woman went about this unarmed with tragic results.

There’s not one Black alive who is more angry than me about this. Her husband, kids, family, and friends are hurt more than me, but this makes me furious.
This was my sister as much as my own sister is.
She was living a good life and only trying to make the area safer for everyone.
When these guys are caught, the folks who yelp about how unfair it is that more Blacks are in prison, can go...
I am assuming the perps were Black because of the area and what she was pushing.

Asian community fed up with violent crime, packs heat
The Asian community in south Sacramento has long been targeted for certain crimes, but a recent influx in violent crime has caused some members of the community to become more vocal, with some even opting to pack heat and partake in neighborhood patrols.
The last six months have been tough on the city and its residents. In fact, crime has gotten so out of control that many Asian business owners are now shutting their doors earlier than ever, leaving them with an average profit loss of 20 to 30 percent. Residents say people don’t want to be out after dark anymore out of fear of being victimized.
Drugs in these communities and the gangs hold all these good people and families hostage, time to close the borders and stop the drugs

Torture penalties would be an excellent start toward addressing this.
It's Biblical to hurt the offender three-fold worse than they hurt another.
It's not “cruel or unusual” if the perp nicely choose to administer it to an innocent.

Frustrated with Sacramento leaders, armed citizen patrols respond to robberies of Asians
Asian residents of south Sacramento say they’ve formed their own armed patrols to respond to a wave of robberies that has terrorized the community, where business owners report a steep drop in customers because people are afraid to go out after dark.
Sacramento police, meanwhile, say they are weighing whether to classify some of the robberies as hate crimes.
