WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is urging the public to help save his health care law, which is in serious danger of being repealed under President-elect Donald Trump.

In a Facebook Live appearance, Obama says the Affordable Care Act has improved millions of lives over the six years it's been the "law of the land." He says the country can't go "backward."

Yep, somebody said that day: *”It’s a big ‘fucking’ deal.”, too.

* Quote - Joe Biden, on hot microphone.

In our family we just say “hide and watch”. Was first said by my daughter some 45 years ago when her brother used to tell her she couldn’t/shouldn’t do something.

Well, he’s right about one thing. We’re certainly not going backward on the premiums. They’re skyrocketing.

Unfortunately, the Constitution now says whatever the hell 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices want it to say at any time.

The good news is (1) a different 5 Justices can always decide that it says something different, and (2) there is currently one vacancy and three 80 year old liberals on the Court.

While obamacare is law, he had to do 2 or 3 EOs to patch it together. The first day, Trump could, and should, remove those EOs. Also, some states sued regarding some aspect of obamacare and they were found in the right by their district court. BUT, the Feds. sought an appeal on that ruling and that is waiting to be done, with no change in obamacare yet. Trump could also sign an EO saying “No - the Fed doesn’t want to appeal.”

While those things won’t repeal obamacare, it will do a lot to help destroy it from within.

The following article discusses some of this.

Someone should remind that at one time in our history blacks were slaves and women couldn’t vote.

True, and that's why we're going FORWARD. First order of business is to open up the free market by eliminating the restrictions on buying insurance outside of one's own state. More competition, lower prices (premiums). Econ 101.

Progs like Hussein are allergic to economic liberty.

In a Facebook Live appearance, Obama says the Affordable Care Act has improved millions of lives over the six years it's been the "law of the land." He says the country can't go "backward."

Slavery was the law of the land for almost 200 years. It was a vile institution but legal. It was repealed via illegal executive order, war and later via legal constitutional change of law. I truly suspect the emancipation could have been achieved over a few years of political action without war that was horrible costly to our flawed nation.

Obama's vile affordable care act is much easier to repel and the nation will not need to go to war to do this.

Pray we never go to war against our brethren again!

ps
The civil war was a noble war from both sides. Each was defending righteous principles and each was also transgressing principles that were wrong and were very very very wrong. The errors of both sides were paid in great blood.
