If the re-count has officially started because of the Stein maneuver, then the count gets delayed past when the count can be completed, the electors cannot vote when the electoral college meets. This disenfranchises every, single voter in the entire state.

Trump will be blamed for it because of his “obstructionist move to ensure having a fair vote. Now everyone lost their vote. Thanks Trump!”

I have questioned why:

1. These recount requests were not being done right after election day. If it was so clear to Jill Stein and her henchmen that they had problems with results, why the need to wait so long??

2. What specific allegations about election procedures are they making here? The margins of victory in each state are exponentially higher than the maximum margin ever overcome by any recount in history. Do they really think the outcome can change?

3. Why is Jill Stein, who got about 1% of the vote, allowed to request a recount which can never result in her winning g the election??

4. As far as election integrity and all that, can’t we study that subject without doing a pointless recount??

People still haven’t learned not to mess with Trump. He’s not an easy target, if you slap him in the face, he’ll drop a nuclear bomb on you. Learn it...know it...live it.

I'd like to see President Trump make secure voting a priority. Listen to the "black vote suppression" complaints and the vote fraud concerns. Address both at the same time:

1. Require voter ID equivalent to that demanded by TSA as part of state/local voting in all elections that include a federal office.

2. Require that states provide a non-driver ID for free and take an ID van (like the old "bookmobile") around to the most rural, obscure corners of each state to make sure that all potential legal voters have an opportunity to obtain ID at no cost. They might then mail the ID to the voter, as my motor vehicle department did for my new "secure" driver's license, but they should come to all communities to eliminate the standard liberal whine that poor blacks cannot find an ID. Take appropriate measures to ensure that people cannot obtain these secure IDs under multiple names.

3. Require that all state/local voting in elections that include a federal office have an auditable record, one that includes individual paper ballots for each voter.

4. Require that states corrupt enough to permit illegals and other non-citizens to vote have a means to check whether those people voted illegally for federal office or only for state offices. Require that this means be accessible to all candidates and FOIA checks (simple spreadsheet: citizenship, whether voted for President/House/Senate).

The left has admitted what we worried about all along - that our election process is not secure. We need to make it secure and do so in a manner that does not even appear to discriminate against citizens who are eligible to vote. Trump should treat the Jill Stein challenge as an opportunity!

“there is no reason to rewrite Michigan election law to accommodate the conspiracy-minded requests of an acknowledged loser.”

The law says that only an “aggrieved” party can file for a recount, and Stein is not “aggrieved” by any possible definition of the word. Only a sophist or judicial activist would claim otherwise, which could well happen in Michigan’s courts, so it is not by any means beyond the realm of possibility that a judge will let the recount continue. But eventually, it will get thrown out. Hopefully, that can happen sooner rather than later.
