You can actually make french toast from scratch, use what you need, then freeze the rest. Put them in a toaster, and they taste better than the store brands and are much cheaper.

I sometimes make my own on Sundays when I make scrambled eggs for the spouse. She isn’t big on french toast.

Weekday mornings are usually too rushed getting ready to head to the mines so the AJ’s.

Eggs-actly! My wife makes her own granola. I prefer hot cereal — slow-cooked whole grains, not the sugar-laden instant variety. For instance, I put some steel-cut oatmeal into my rice cooker, just before going for my shower. When I’ve showered and dressed, a piping hot, delicious, and nutritious breakfast awaits. It’s really that easy to avoid the processed, packaged stuff.
