As a retired old fart, I went to school in a bygone era. In my (two room country) grade school we had a strict gun rule: anyone bringing a weapon to school had to unload it, and leave it in the cloak room during the day. Some of the ones bringing weapons to school knew that if they wanted meat for supper, they had to shoot it on the way home. These were usually the same ones who had nothing but lard sandwiches to eat for lunch.

My college also had strict gun rules: guns kept in dorm rooms had to be left unloaded.

It's worth noting that we had no instances of Islamic jihadist murders in these schools.

everyone in this country needs to exercise their Second Amendment and God given right and carry a firearm for self protection no matter where they are. For obvious reasons, I believe the Second Amendment supersedes a CCW permit.

Don’t worry, I know all about 22 Mag. Got an LCR in 22 Mag the week they came out a few years ago. Got the semi-auto A22 Savage that I have kind of fixed up like a scout rifle the month it came out this June. I kind of like the caliber — shoots flat for old eyes.

Carry a S&W 9 mm with critical duty when I have a serious reason to carry. I have some hearing loss (too many shotguns and rock concerts years ago) and I have some regular muffs, some electronic muffs and a variety of ear plugs from power equipment usage.

You are right however, I had a buddy with me at an indoor range earlier this year and he was surprised by the flash/bang that LCR made.

My wife’s LCR is a 38 which has a little different trigger action on the same frame and is quieter to me.
