hotair.com ^ | NOVEMBER 30, 2016

When Harry Reid and the rest of the Senate Democrats teamed up three years ago to nuke the filibuster on presidential appointments, Republicans warned them they’d live to regret it.

Now that day has arrived, and Chris Coons tells CNN’s Kate Bolduan he does regret it — mainly because, as Republicans tried to tell Democrats, they have no way of stopping a Republican president from appointing “extreme” nominees to key positions.

Coons, who is trying to block Jeff Sessions’ nomination as Attorney General, says that Republicans need to help him

That’s ok. I’m sure “moderate” Republican’s like Lindsey Graham and McCain will be more that happy to reinstitute it at the Democrat’s request....

Now is the time to cast aside ALL reservation and restraint and nominate someone really, REALLY nuclear.

Screw “New Tone” to all hell.

This is what happens when you try to project an appearance of caring and concerned and don’t use your head for thoughtful and needs. As Walter would say, dumb a$$e$.

The Republicans needed to help fix Obamacare, didn’t they?

Apparently the idiot dems never heard the saying "What goes around, comes around", and in politics that's especially true. The shoe's on the other foot now, A-Holes!

The Dems nuked the filibuster, apparently without really thinking that a future Republican president would also gain power from this action.

The Dems built Obamacare with tons of language discussing actions that can be taken “at the discretion of the HHS Secretary”. Well, now Trump has named a man to that position who has huge discretion to slam on the brakes whether Congress kills Obamacare or not.

Dems are just terrible legislators. Their worldview only works with a dictatorship.

Coons has changed his tune ...

Just the other day, (IIRC) he was speaking with more confidence.

Spoken like a ‘true’ politician, one that believes in an inefficient and non-productive organization; one in which individuality and a clear understanding of property ‘rights’ is not recognized or understood; an organization that runs purely on ‘self-interest’ but the wrong kind, these hedonists seek gratification by the sweat of your brow.

But this is not new, read history. Point in case; the tyrant Castro was the spoiled son of a wealthy man.

Another spoiled son -

“When a liberal is abused, he says: Thank God they didn’t beat me. When he is beaten, he thanks God they didn’t kill him. When he is killed, he will thank God that his immortal soul has been delivered from its mortal clay.” — Vladimir Lenin. (Lenin was an intelligent man full of hate, IMHO)

*******

Since when do Democrats tell the truth about anything? They all lie because what they want in the end is power and control over the people.

Sure they regret it. They calculated they would never (ever) lose the White House again. After all, the MSM assured them of victory. Oops.....

If I was him, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Republicans are weak, gutless, socialist appeasing Aussies.

They will cave eventually.

I do remember the Repubs saying they're making a mistake by defining it.

But let's note...The Filibuster was intended for legislative matters only. It was never intended for advise and consent.

But they really, really, really, really believed that they would be in power forever. Their voter fraud schemes guaranteed that! Now, they will see the consequences of their actions. And PS-I’d like to point out that Obama appointed EXTREME LEFTISTS to the Federal bench after the nuclear option was employed. We NEED extreme Rightists to counterbalance all the Leftist judge-legislators that Obama put in place.
