This is the first presidential transition in decades I've paid much attention to. Even the GWB transition in 2000 left a bitter taste in my mouth due to all the shenanigans in Florida. You really have to go back to 1980 to find a transition I was excited about and back then, it wasn't covered 24/7 by the media like we see these days. You would get bits and pieces on the nightly news.
I think it’s a pretty good idea for Trump to get some big rallies going.
Obama blew in with a big tail wind from being hailed by the media worldwide as the Black Jesus.
Trump is getting non-stop flak from the media, and the left is trying to taint his election by challenging the actual vote-count in 3 states as well as by tooting the National Popular Vote horn.
I think some huge crowds acclaiming him are just the thing to counter that. He could use those rallies to announce some of his initiatives, too. It would be a way to go over the noise of the MSM—they’d have to cover him. It would be a 2016 way of doing what Reagan did when he talked to everyone by TV.
Another comment, not directly related: Trump sometimes hits the right issue in a blustery and imprecise way. On the elections: He should point out that the counting is in pretty good shape, but he’s fine with it being checked and made ironclad. But, he MUST emphasize that the ballot box can be stuffed through fake and multiple registrations. Right now, he’s saying that, but in a wild, undisciplined way through his tweet-war with CNN. He could do it better, and he must do something about cleaning up ID and registration once in office, or future elections will be very difficult for the non-left to win.
