Technique: A test “deck” of ballots with a known count are run through the tabulator machines. Out comes the count. It matches the known count. Machines are declared fine.
The tabulators are used to do the election day ballots. Result emerges.
Done. Probably less than 24 hrs.
Is that how it works?
I always thought you’d ask the machine: “Did you count every vote correctly?”
And it would reply, “Yepper!”
