When he assumes the presidency Donald Trump will deliver on his campaign promise to cancel the Paris Climate Accord in a way that has a big payoff for conservative principles. Benny Peiser, director of the London-based Global Warming Policy Forum, has the strategy Trump is all but certain to adopt. Writing in the Financial Post:
[P]resident-elect Trump does not need to cancel the Paris agreement to fulfill his promise and that of his party. He should simply submit it to the Senate for advice and consent under Article II, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution. That properly constitutional approach would spell the end of it.
That is exactly the plan that Myron Ebell, who leads Trumps transition team for the Environmental Protection Agency, has suggested. There are many good reasons for such a constitutional approach. But the most important one is that a failure to do so would cement Obamas policy of unilateral treaty-making and set a dangerous precedent.

That will cancel Obama's illegal and unconstitutional approval.
I got a nice cross-cut shredder that could do a nice job of “reviewing” the document. ;-)
Not about climate at all. It’s about money....and once again...it’s all about the old USA is a sucker.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
He should simply submit it to the Senate for advice and consent under Article II, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution. That properly constitutional approach...
There are many other rotten deals presidents have signed with the UN (i.e. agenda 21 and agenda 50) that are not confirmed by the Senate and they should all be pulled as well. If Trump wants to keep any, then he should seek the consent of the Senate so he’s respecting the constitution.
They don’t even have the terms of the accord written yet. One of those.....sign it....and then we’ll write it.
The ‘folks’ graduated with Fancy Nancy’s class.
You know - the class which learned the words: You’ve got to pass it [law]before you can read it.
Sadly, our Constitution was taught to not one of the many ‘officials’ we now have in office.
I LIKE IT!
I also think Trump should submit it to the Senate and get an official turn down.
“Trump should send the Paris Climate Accord to the Senate for approval.
That will cancel Obama’s illegal and unconstitutional approval. “
Why? There is absolutely no reason to do that. And if he did, it would foster a big sideshow that would take away from the pressing matters that the Congress really needs to address. Given Bobo’s arrogance here, it would give unwarranted attention to what he tried to illegally do.
I agree!
