I believe there is a black bo/camera on the bus that should give some details.
A Morton’s Fork choice vice bail. Safer in lockup or out in the general population? If it was my child, he’d better choose jail.
Is it true this guy asked the kids if they were ready to die? I have heard from a few sources, but nothing concrete. It looks like a rumor, maybe.
I hesrd one report that said there was no black box. Heard there was a camera.
He did day to the kids “Are you ready to die?”
That’s what I was looking for confirmation about too, but I haven’t seen it since, well since a few days now and only in a headline.
If true, I’d say it adds another dimension to this story.
I hope Tenn. has the death penalty.

That was my second thought. First thought has been answered. Now I want an answer to your question. Not holding my breath for it
According to the news report at the time, one mother of a child that was one the bus stated that her child said he said “are you ready to die?” just before he went around the sharp curve and crashed.
Another report, which has mostly been ignored, stated that he had DEVIATED FROM THE SCHEDULED ROUTE.
The school bureaucrats who ignored the repeated reports of recklessness and other troubling actions and statements from this driver should be held accountable as well.
Additional information (if it wasn’t already mentioned):
He did not have drugs or alcohol in his body.
He also works 12 hour night shifts at Amazon.
There are numerous complaints about his fast and erratic driving by parents.
He had a minor accident with the bus a month or two ago (sideswiped an oncoming car on a curve).
My opinion, FWIW, is that he took on too much. Working 2 jobs, not sleeping much some days, probably hurrying to get the kids dropped off so that he could nap before the night shift. His judgement was severely lacking, obviously. I don’t think he’s gone Muslim, but that is a possibility. Seems to be popular these days.
We do have the death penalty.
Maybe enough kids heard him and can testify. I believe he intended for that and expected to die, but I don’t know that. If so, we’ll likely kill him, if Kentucky has death penalty. They probably do
If this guy had been white he would have been held accountable!!!!
